We've had one since '89. Wouldn't consider harvesting soybeans any other way. They are awesome! Our dealer is beginning to sell lots of them for all colors. Nearly sells tham as standard equipment when guys buy new heads. Dealer orders the heads in without factory reels then adds the Crary. That really makes them a bargin.

Justin, Does that air finger reel work well in all conditionsIJ like down and tangled beans, or very short beans. I need to get a different reel for my flex header befor next year and I'm wondering if that is he way to go.

have never tried the air reel but this fall we had a new 800 series head with the u-2 reel to demo for a few days it did a very good job of picking up down beans and no wraping it also had excellent visability.don't know about cost but either reel should be better than the stock one. hope I gave you another worthwhile opinion. good luck

That is when you really notice the biggest difference is in short down beans. We use to watch the beans just roll off the platform now the air insures that the beans stay in the head. It really was cool. I can guarrantee that whenever it comes time to trade my head in for a new one my Air Reel is goin with me. Another thing that was cool is my head feeds so much better. The beans can't roll off like they use to. The air pushes the crop right to the back of the auger and feeds it in. As you can tell I was very impressed with it.

We've been selling them for quite some time with the flex heads. There are some conditions where you just would not be able to run without the air assist. Couple the Crary with the 800 head and there just isn't much you could not do. We had many guys unlock the flex for their wheat this year for straw was laying flat on the ground. We installed quite a few HCC level 2 pickup reels with the steggered fingers on the rigid heads this year but it was very hard to keep out of the dirt with the straw so flat. I'm sure the standard HCC level 2 will work better than previous reels but nothing I've seen can get close to what the Crary can do. Crary rep said they are stepping up production quite alot for this year.

I've run a Crary for several years on a 320. Can,t beat it in short beans. Bought it to save frustration but figured it has paid for it self by keeping those loose beans in the machine. I mounted fog lights under the center tube. Now I can see much better. The dust is not illuminated.
