nod, I did some checking. I think the largest factory duals are 20.8-42's. However, Wold Wheel and Rim has sold several sets of 710x70-38 duals on the big JD's without any problems. They use a really heavy rim design with two bolt patterns. I guess most of these have gone to Southern Ohio. They are located in North Central Iowa and can be reached at 1-800-443-9653, ask for Ivan, or you can e-mail at ivan@woldinc.com. They sell custom made rims, axle extensions, tires, everything you need.

They are not a John Deere option. I bought my rims from Unverferth Manufacturing Co. out of Kalida, Ohio. I'm sorry I can't remember the salesman I delt with but here is the phone number 419-532-3121 or 800-322-6301.

I just bought a new Cat 450 and had a set of 73x44x32 Firestone logger tires put on the front as a Cat option. It came from the factory with 30.5x32's, but I didn't think that was big enough for that machine. The smaller set of Firestone loggers come only as 12 ply vs. 16 ply for the 76x50x32's. Have not used them in the field yet, but they look good on the combine. Best thing about a big single is that you get good flotation wthout making the combine so wide during transport. Also some guys have trouble with the duals filling up under muddy conditions. The Firestone logger tires are also 6-8 inches bigger diameter than the Goodyear loggers. Price that I got on a 73x44x32 12ply is $2300(US) plus $1400 for rim from Unverferth.
