Combines flex draper head

Smoothest cutting head I have ever ran and feeds way better than an auger head. I had very little maintenance on 2500 acres of use. If I had an 8010 this is the only thing I would put on it. I ran afx 2388. I ran the 36ft model.

Used it on beans,2500acres that ran 42-45 bu and could cut 3.8-4.7 depending on humidity. The draper constantly feeds the machine and their is no little bunches coming in, thus smoothing out the feed. You do not need fieldtracker for this header as it has it's own unique suspension that lets it give an incredible float. Have not used it on wheat,but have seen others with draapers and they like them. Flex drapers are too new to talk about how they hold up,but other draper heads seem to wear real good.

Had a demo on one last year on a 8010. That head is awesome. We were cuttin a about 3.5mph with our Gleaner heads with Air Reels and Crary cutting systems in beans that were only about a foot tall. The 8010 had that 36' flex draper cruising along at 5mph and still doing a better job than we were at 3.5mph. The only thing that I did not like about it was that it picked rocks really easy. The header can be tipped down and up on it. MacDon was working on a guard that would not let it pick rock as easy. I do not know how they turned out with that. I am trying to get our local Gleaner dealer to get one on a machine and demo it around the area. MacDon really has something here. Good luck
