Narrow cut sickles seem to work best for me. They are also easier to change than the ones that have rivets. Tom in MN

Got lotsa rocks here. I run the quick cut style "Tiger Jaw 2000" knife-3" twin point bolt-on sections, no long guard points to break on stones, easy to change, easy adjust adjustable holddowns. Adjust it properly at the start and maybe only a couple of turns with a wrench thru the season. Maybe not the fastest but fast enough in rocks. Never broken a guard and few sections, usually under the holddowns. NOT very good in grasses. Machine had Razor Cat knife when I bought it. lasted 1_2 day in no-till soys- sreared root balls and pushed bean over, small stones sheared section bolts, didn't lose many, just had to stop, pick them off the head, bolt them back on, hourly. I'll stick with the Tiger Jaws ij my situation.
