I'm there right now myself. Reenforce the tabs which the bar bolts to. Get all tabs bent to the same desired angle. Cut 3_16x1 flat iron 5" mol. Cut out along the side of the tab so iron can be welded to stiffen beyond the back of the "S" in the tab. The new piece is welded in next to the tab with the long of the iron fore and aft and the edge vertical, forming a 90 with the tab. Clear as mudIJ Gives new respect fore the poor souls who's job it is to write operators manuals. Anyway, bevel off the leading edge of the new piece. Do this to both sides of the tab. Also double plate where the parralell (sp) linkage bolts to the end dividers. Have not done that yet. You tell me what works there.

Under the header there should be u shaped channel lockups. Probably they are where the last owner left them. They attach with two 3_8 self tapping 1.5" screws. The brackets can be fabricated but it would not be a 5 min job. Zero the cyl by closing it down until the grate contacts the cylinder and check your gauge. It is mandatory to level the concave if it has not been done. Follow dircetcions in the book . Then set the cylinder on 1_4" You will run your air setting on about 5 with the top screen at about 1_2" and the bottom at 3_16" . If you still have trash you have an air problem or a small seeds kit installed that has been flopped up to block the air by 50%. As with any new item you really need to do some digging in the op man to become as familiar with your new spaceship as you were your old binder. There might be a few videos still floating around about setting the 50's

If you do the things tbran mentioned and still have chaff, your accelerator rolls may need to be replaced. When they are wore out, I have seen it make setting the combine more difficult to get a clean grain sample. The rolls will not propel the grain down onto the the shoe in the right manner to allow the air to blow out the chaff.
