I read a post on here over a year ago from a guy down in one of the Gulf States that got an alligator. Seems he was harvesting soybeans and it was pretty dusty. The feederhouse plugged and when the combine was stopped and the dust cleared, he had a pretty good sized alligator caught tail first in the feederhouse. He siad the gator was plenty **ssed. I don't remember in detail how he got it out but I bet it was a circus. As for me, nothing more than small animals or small objects......nothing out of the ordinary.

This fall I ran a an old plow lay through a 9760STS. After I shut the combine down the chopper had just enough speed to throw it about 10ft out the back. When I got off the combine after hearing that awful noise, I thought I was going to open the rotor access doors and see nothing left of the rotor. We only broke off one tine in the very back.

I'm wondering if some of you farm over old landfills or in parking lots of mallsIJ sheesh but with urbanity creeping closer to most of us all the time I don't wonder. Bout the best_worst thing we got this year was a skunk. I didn't let the man running that machine go home that night without checking for "damage" lol

Had an old massey that came with a big wrench for backing up the cylinder but left it sitting on the feederhouse and went about 50 feet and in it went also had a fawn go in doing barley that was a mess to unclog

Apparently you have never combined soybeans when it's dry. Many times in the eveneing and night here in SD you can only see part or sometimes none of the platform. All you have to go by is the rows out in front of you. It doesn't help when someone shoots a deer or something and leaves it laying out in the field.

Funniest thing is a cat.Got one one in front one afternoon and as the header got right up behind him he lept in the air and the reel banged him on to the draper belt. That puss was jumping about 2 feet in the air and was all fluffed up doing 30mph trying to get out but was no match for the elevator chain.
