To RandR the front walker crank in a 9600 you need to: 1. loosen the drive belt 2. Remove the sheave from the gearbox. 3. Remove the gearbox either buy very carefully using two large prybars, being carefull not to ruin the seal on the back side of the gearbox. Or through service gaurd at you local deere dealer you can purchace a special puller to do the job. 4. Unbolt the walkers and place the right size blocks between the conveyor augers and the walkers to hold them up out of the way. Remove the blocks from the shaft. 5. Remove the left side brg and lock coller.(Note, it'll make it easier if you remove the pre-cleaner screens). 6. At this point if your goig to replace the shaft I would cut it with a torch on the right side and unbolt it to remove it. If not drive the RH brg off with a punch or air hammer, this bearing is a press fit. There is a little spacer on the inside of the brg be sure yo keep it or replace it. 7. Install the shaft and install the RH brg first. This sets the shaft side to side position. 8. Do every thing else in reverse from the disassembly. 9. TIME THOSE WAlKERS so they turn smooth by hand. That should do it, it is not the funnest job.
