Here in the frozen tundra, our gas is the same as 270.3 potatos. The feds are on to us so I wouldn't reccomend trying to smuggle any of our cheap gas to Spain!!

I ordered fuel in December but my fuel supplier cant get the fuel I want. It will probably get very expensive when he delivers fuel in March or April. Are you a farmer in SpainIJ What type of a farmIJ I try to raise corn and soybeans in Minnesota USA about 1_2 day drive west of Mr. langan. Our tundra is a little soft after yesterdays rainstorm when the temp was 8C (18F). Power was off most of the day. Tom in MN

Well, I am some what luckier than Tom I order fuel and it was delived, I just have not got the bill yet. I have been trying to haul some corn here in southern Indiana, started out colder than (well you know) unloader broke. Fixed it started to haul again, snowed, unloader has a hole in it, grey tape time. Started hauling again, unloader has another hole, corn price fell to $2.01. Wife said to quit hauling (yes boss) and fix bin unloader, took it off and it fell apart, ordered new unloader and waiting on it to get here, weather is now great, no unloader, but I have the fuel........

AAH shucks, got the fuel bill $1.49 per_gal. If I get unloader fixed, weather holds, corn stays at $2.01 and I can set in line at the elevator for 3 hours to dump, it will be a farmers dream come true.

When I was growing up my dad would say "one blankety blank thing after another!" when thing would go wrong. I never understood why he would say such things, now dad is gone and I am in charge and I catch myself say those exact words. Sorry to hear of your problems, my motto now is "it's not done right until it's done at least twice!". Pete Hinrichsen

Oh well all is not lost. I just put my new Hutchinson unloader on, and boy is it sweet. I put up a bin about 3 or 4 years ago and put on a Hutchinson unloader and it was much better than the one I just replaced, but boy the new one has many changes. It is so quiet I had to turn up my hearing aids to see if it was running. Tomorrow I am sure some other "darn thing" will break. As I get older so does my equipment and I am outlasting some of it. But still farming has been a great life that I would not change for anything else I have seen.
