I have a neighbor that has a G with a 6 row cornhead. Don't know how it is for capacity.

I had a 6 row on mine on level ground works just fine. If you are in good corn you will have to go slow for it to handle it all. You will also want the clean grain auger running as fast as possible with a sprocket update. Also if you have a manual trans. you may have to slow it down same way to keep your ground speed slow enough. I'm talking about 160 bu. corn or better. Hope this helps you.

I had a G Hydro Diesel that I ran a 6rn. It handled it well except for the grain tank size. I installed a sieve extension on the shoe. If the shoe was overloaded the tailings would show me. My machine had a hillside blower. The performance was improved when I installed the hillside raddle chain. I also removed the channel concave bars and installed the rasp-type bars on the concave. Make sure you have the corn seive (long finger) and a hyper type front 6 rows adjustment on the sieve. I changed the slope on the clean grain floor on the shoe to help on slopes by drilling new holes and increasing the pitch. You can have a real corn eater there if you want. I had the fat back (cast) wheels on the steering axle. If you are going to 30 inch I would try to find a 4-30 so the grain tank will match the head better and run faster. crowfarmer scIa

i ran a 4-row on my g's, the combine handled them great, always wanted to put a 6-row on, but couldn't find any in my area that were in good condition, so i went with a different model for my 30" heads, a cheap bin extention for your g combine is to take the wire mesh tank extention off another g combine, turn it upside down and it will bold directly onto your exsisting mesh screen, no holes need to be drilled, no duct tape needed anywhere either!!, also my g's are for sale, with all heads if anyone wants to make me any offers..thanks!!
