Combines Gear oil smell in the cab

Where did you mount the air filter on the right side of the grain tankIJ I have a 2166.Thanks Steve

i installed it on the straight side of the grain tank. i took off the holder inside the door and installed it on the side. made a bracket to hold the back. just a little saddle. worst part is now to find long enough hose. i ran mine inside where door closes. use to be able to get bulk from cnh. some never clean all season. and the best part no smell.

I don't know if I am just dense or overcome with oil fumes but I cain't seem to picture where you moved the filter to. Is it on the right side under shielding or up on the grain tank above the side pieces of the combine or am I way off.Thanks for your help. Steve

on the grain tank fact. ext. above the side shielding. so you can reach from the rails.

n144305a1...no, the filter will not be discontinued for quite a while. it fits cab filter application on the 2155 cotton picker. as long as they don't all catch on fire and burn(insurance and payment wire crossing, as we call it in the south) in the next few years, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. even though the relocation was the better end of the deal.
