Have you checked your turbo, it may be worn out and not providing enough turbo boost pressure. What I have also found alot of lately is the hoses on the intercooler pipes will leak off boost pressure, check hoses and clamps. If this is the problem you will also notice high exaust temprature when the engine is under a load and a loss of power.

Thanks Agmechanic for your reply, the tractor is only six months old have checked turbo, hoses and fittings does not get hot at all and is pulling very well. The smoke is blue when cold black under moderate load

That almost sounds like timing to me, or, if this is from new I would check the serial number on the pump and confirm for the correct n with the factory spec sheet.

I'm not the best mechanic at all, so I hope this isn't a stupid question....If the constant smoke is blue at idle, could it be using oilIJ You tractor only has 150 hours on it and may not have broken in properly. I bought a new Deere 7210 two years ago and it smoked quite a lot when it was new. I talked to my dealer and he told me to put in another batch of break-in engine oil, and work the heck out of it. When I was breaking it in, I was mostly choring with it and never really made it work. They told me piston rings are harder than they used to be and can be tough to break in. The rings were probably glazed a bit, hadn't broken in and the smoke was burning oil. The tractor still made decent power and didn't get hot, but burned excess fuel much like yours. He was right. We changed to regular oil at 250 hrs. By then the smoke was gone and has run like a top since. If the smoke is obviously diesel, you can ignore this idea. Have your guys check the manifold pressure to make sure you are getting turbo boost, make sure there is no air restriction at the filter, and then start checking pump numbers as sbkuroki suggested. Best of luck,

Have the dealer put the tractor on the dyno to accurately test horsepower and tourque rise. I would think that the injection pump needs to be recalibrated , and the timing checked. Even if te horsepower is good, I would pull the injectors and inspect them as well as doing a compression test, just to verify proper operation of each cylinder.
