Combines Genesis Tractors

I beg to differ. I have been around both tractors, and the Genesis wins hands down in turning radius, ease of maintenance, cab quietness, and overall comfort. Save about $10,000 and buy a better tractor in the Genesis.

Brandon...no, I beg to differ. The Genesis only turns better if you have it set out off the rows, and the cab is quieter if you want a cab full of carpet. Myself, I'd rather be able to see the out the cab than have one that's SlIGHTlY quieter. And ease of maintenanceIJ I guess I don't get this one. Are you talking (like everyone else does) about how you have to have tools to take the hood offIJ Because you never need to open the hood. All routine maintenance is done from ground level.

This is a no brainer, go with the blue tractor! When the first Genesis tractor was first introduced it was 10 years ahead of where the competition is today. When it comes to cab, fuel economy, power, durability, fuel economy, engineering and strength within, comfort and operating features, this Genesis makes the competition out to be nothing more than PANTY WEIGHTS.

Before you do something stupid and go back to a CIH give that TR a good going over. I switched to a yellow machine back in 1995 after having 25 years of the competitors machines. It took me, believe it or not, 3 years to learn all the features, capabilities and tricks to make my machines really perform. I personnally don't have a TR model myself, or I would tell you some of the tricks. As anyone would agree with me, when you switch from one machine manufacturer to another, settings can be all different. I have New Holland model TX machines and I can get dockages down to .2% and have some semi loads as low as 0% in corn, soybeans, and wheat with these conventional machines and I know they say the rotary machines are better for grain quality than the conventionals. Give that yellow beauty a chance before giving her the heave hoooooo!

I have to agree with Brandon. I have been around both and the Genesis is far superior in turning, pulling, comfort and visibility. Every day maintenence is done with out any tools other than a grease gun. last summer the John Deere dealer put a 8400 against a neighbors 8770. The 8400 had 22" tires, duals, with front and wheel weights. The 8770 had 14.9" tires, singles with only front weights and was set at 88". Both pulled the same size plow and the 8770 out pulled it and was quicker turning on the ends. New Holland has made many improvements over the long run of the 70 series tractor and will be introducing a new tractor to replace it in the very near future. This years model is also sporting a new supersteer transmission.

The reason for this is because of the purchase of Case by Fiat. In order for the merger to be valid, New Holland had to sell the planet where the 70 and 84 series tractors are made. I dont know if the actual tractors were sold or if Buhler just has the contract to build them.

It will toy around with that buggy. I pull a 674 Brent with a 7130 Magnum and it toys with it in the field. On the road the buggy toys with the tractor. Boss just bought an 8970. Pulled a 7 furrow plow with ease. Transmission is great. Shifts real bad between 9 and 10 though. Cabs are incredible. Very nice tractor. Take care, Nathan

I have two 8970 genesis tractors they are 96 and 97 models. they have been great to us and we haven't had any problems out of them. They have about 6000 hrs. on them and we really enjoy them. Shifting from 9 to 10 is a range change so it will be a little rougher than any other. You can also calibrate the trans. directional clutches on your own.

They are great tractors... we bought a new 98 in 99, have 3000 hrs on it with very little downtime. It will easily handle your cart and drills. good luck!
