I run the cylinder at 500rpm or so depend on how it is threshing I can't get empty pods out of the hopper ether.

I run a 6600 and had the same problem. The belt for fan speed appeared tight and looked new but had been left in the fast speed position for 2 years. Once I put a new belt on, the fan speed was great and the problem was greatly reduced. It was just a matter of playing with the sieves after that.
