you probably already know this but just in case...both the red and silver machines are identical..I've been told they come off the same assembly line. Have a look further down in the forum (5_22_04) for some C62_8680 posts re reliabilty. I have had a C62 for 3 seasons and would be glad to share my experiences with you. If you are looking for capacity it is hard to beat.

Thanks for your reply and yes, I knew about the Gleaner and MF being identical. I guess my biggest concerns are the shorter strawwalkers on these combines as compared to the Deere and New Holland. I also have concerns about that massive return belt underneath the walkers, as this seems to be a huge reliability issue. Should I opt for the sunnybrook enclosed cylinder or staggered cylinder right off the bat. Would walker risers be a good idea (we have sidehills on our farm). Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Allan

Capacity is hard to beat on these machines. The sunnybrook staggered bar is a big improvement over the agco cylinder. Walker risers do help in the hills. With some agco modifications the belt under the walkers can be reliable. We do 3000 plus acres a year through our c62 and the belt needs to be changed about every three years. When we first got the machine the belt needed changing three times a year. The walkers are shorter, but the extra beater seems to help quite a bit.
