Combines Gleaner cabs

having spent the last 18 harvests in a gleaner cab (12years in an N6, and the last 6 years in an R-62),i could think of a few changes that would be nice. Better air conditioning to start with( This has been addressed in the later models i think. A little less noise, esspecially from the feeder-house. More room, even if it is bigger than the others. A more modern layout, even if all the functions were the same. 18 years of the same gets a bit boring. p.s. Had a look over an STS cab recently and it was a bit disapointing.

I would like to see a new hydro handle simular to case or john deere.

Please don't suggest that deere or c-ih hydro lever, with all that star wars BS could possibly be simple oreasy to operate.

Why are most people affraid of technology the deere and case combines are easy to operate. I take it from your response you're affraid of change and technology.

I love anything that makes life easier but sometimes the K.I.S.S. principal works best,besides did not gleaner start with the buttons on the levers followed by massey.The best new cab i have been in is the CX soon to be on the CR's,lots of room for big 6 foot plus boys.john

Yes, the air conditioning could be improved. With snow on the ground I had forgot about that one! The overhang to keep the sun off the glass is a big plus. The air conditioning may be alright but more air movement maybe is what is needed.

I would also like to see the air conditioning improved, first need to get the same style as what the MX Magnum tractors have in them, auto temperature control and another thing would be to make the turn signals the same as what Deere has in there combines, never seen such a dumb thing, first it was down by the floor and then they routed it up top but still not directional. I would also like to see better air movement and also nice to have prewiring for a two way radio and seperate switch for a flashing light.

one thing I would like to see is some small shadow lights on the control panel so you can see the switches at night when I turn the overhead light on I get blinded and can't see out the front I mentioned this to a rep and he said he'll pass this on ( yea right) all they would need are some small lights in the console and they really do need to think abut putting switches in a place before just putting them somewhere cause they forgot to find a proper place for them.

Had a guy fasten one of them orange stick lights into headliner above control panel which works perfect and looks factory. Them lights are in many tractors for just that reason.
