We have 98 model 30'. Very happy with it but a few areas to check out would be the hydraulic sickle drive - make sure it is tight. Next would be the drum auger on adapter - if it has the original small shaft on the left side, check to make sure it isn't cracked on flat plate where it is bolted to drum. Finally, do your routine check over before committing. We have had to replace several hoses because they just seemed to be cheap. Ours is stored inside all year and the hoses would just spring pin holes. The last area to check is where the drive chains are. There is a lot of heat in this area and the bearings don't hold up that well, especially the one on the hydraulic reservoir. We had to do some maintainence on ours the first two years we had it, mostly because it wasn't assembled correctly in the first place. We have run it four years over 2000 acres a year and it works great.
