I just slide 1_8" poly (UHMU) over the top. I loosen the angle behind the conveyor and slide it under and retighten. loosen the feather sheet hold down and slide the poly under it. You can add some rivets. It will feed a lot better with the poly. last a long time and is easy to replace. I use three sections - one in the middle installed first and one on each end. So if your header is 18' wide. I would cut three pieces a little longer than 6' each so they can lap over.
