Combines Gleaner R62 in soybeans

Your help is greatly appreiciated. We run two machines in soybeans. Until this year we ran a N6 and a R60. We've just traded our N6 for a R62. I want to consider the valuble insights you've offered for both of these machines. We've been running without the reverserbars for the last couple years but we want to seriously consider your high through put modifications. We have expierinced the rotary "pull-down" to a far greater extent with the N6's than with the p3 R's so you've definetly done some things right to get the performance from the N's in damp beans. THANKS, Steven

I'm assuming that you've never run a Gleaner rotary. We've run 9600's and have found that when the dew sets on the bean the 9600's can work longer than our Gleaners. However there is nocomparision between the 9600's and the Gleaners in corn. With our R62's we can out run the 9600's by no less than 33%. If you run a Gleaner and are honest you will find the same to be true. Be unbiased and evaluate other harvesters performance. You will probably want to consider JD's CTS.

How fast are you running, our farm's experience shows that the faster you run a gleaner, the better it performs... until it plugs.
