An F3 is a highly upgraded F, which was introduced in the 60's. We had a 1976 F corn_soybean version and properly set it would out harvest a JD 6620 in corn. The spec sheets will tell you an F_F2_F3 is between a 4400 and 6620 in capacity and M_M2_M3 is between 6620 and 7720. An l_l2_l3 is between a 7720 and 8820. These are just based on specs -- a good operator in one brand of machine going against a bad operator in another brand can reverse these ratings pretty easily.
