It looks to me that the current "Massey" combine has more AGCO roots through its White brand than Massey, so technically speaking, the entire AGCO axial combine line is of "White heritage". It must also not be forgotten that the Gleaner design outsells the Massey and Challenger put together, and We can only hope that the current management team is not foolishly overlooking this fact. Regarding the tractor line, while it went through phases starting with a White chassis, then to the Massey platform, Now, the entire transaxle assembly is Fendt (shipped as a complete assembly from Marketoberdorf to Beauvais) on RT's and DT's with CVT. According to marketing, there will be a Valtra influence showing up in future production as well. I think this is good as long as superior technology is incorporated where possible.

Orange, I agree with you wholly on the combines. I can honestly say I am not as well versed on the tractors, nor will I likely be, since I specialize in combines. The Gleaner design is as important as their name itself, and should NEVER be done away with as it not only leads in sales of the other AGCO brands, but is second only to what was really Massey in history. The real Massey has been gone for almost 20 years now, leaving us only with the renamed White rotary line. Gleaner, on the other hand, has kept its valuable name and design tradition despite 3 parent companies since the original manufacturer was bought out. lONG lIVE GlEANER!!!!
