I am located 20 minutes north of Brandon. We run 1 R-62, and 1 R-72 with honeybee drapers on them. I agree we are not in a large Gleaner market which is to bad as I sure think they are a great machine, sure they have some issues but who doesn't. In my opinion the weakest spot is feeding canola, other than that our machines can keep up with any other machine in the same class. How far out of Winnipeg are you located. I assume your dealer would be Ag West. We have done some parts and a swather there, maybe more now that they have opened in Neepawa. We deal in Shoal lake, they have looked after us very well. lets hope 2006 is better than 2005.

The nice thing about the Honeybee is you can make them fit any other model with a bit of work, depends on which model but I believe from 2300 series IH and TR_TX New Holland you just need to make throat fit which can be done yourself if handy with torch and welder or you can order a new one from Honeybee and remove the adaptor plate and install new one, hydraulic pump should work just need right coupler on pto shaft. If JD or Cat I think you need a different hydraulic pump as feeder shaft speeds vary to much to get correctflow.

I talked to AG World when i was looking for a combine. I seen the one they have advertised,pretty pricey(more then i had a new one priced here in alberta). The TR_TX or 9790 is the easiest to adapt to a Gleaner.I have already got the shell to adapt a 97 or older Honeybee but would like to go with a newer model.Have you got the pea auger on yoursIJ If so do you like itIJ

That is a heck of a price drop! Makes a guy wonder how much the dealers can make on high dollar equipment like combines,4 wheeldrive tractors and air drills and the like. I've got a 30 foot honeybee. The first place i talked to said i needed the pea auger, but the dealer i bought it from said i did'nt need it . last year we had some peas and i went into it 20 feet and they just sat there above the canvas. we farm west of Medicine hat. The gleaners are pretty thin here, especially once you get into the R72's,62's. There are lots of N6's scaterred around still. Our gleaner dealer closed up around 1987 and Gleaner was "inherited" by the massey dealer. Up until the lately Wenstrom Equipment up by Calgary sold alot of machines and south at Havre, Montana i think Tilleman Motors sells a bunch. Have you dealt with that Gleaner dealer that has the advertisments on the television show FarmGate(i think)IJ It is somewhere in Manitoba. They must be doin' good if they can afford tv time but i don't remember see their name in the wheel and deal paper. Have a good one!
