Combines Gleaners at louisville

Sounds all too familiar! I am always amazed by the general lack of product knowlege by AGCO reps at the shows. I'll never forget back in '93 hearing an AGCO rep refer to a 9630(IJ) AGCO Allis tractor as a 190XT!! Standing right next to it too! And to see tbran mention the Expo Girls - I asked my Pa about them as that was (unfortunately!) before my time (well, not before my time, but before I cared!). He says he vividly remembers the Expo Girls - said you could ask them anything about Allis equipment and they would know the answers. He said they no doubt sold more orange machinery than all the Allis salesmen put together!! Me wonders now if there's anybody in the company that could even train a new batch of girls if they were to start that again... Sorry AGCO company people if you're reading this, but maybe a rude awakening is what is neededIJ

Amen. Many times when Ive talked with AGCO reps. Ive felt that Im more excited about their product than they are. In AGCOs defense, Ive never been too impressed with most reps from the majors. To me a good rep knows his_her and the competitions machine inside and out. When it comes to knowing the competitors machine they should at least be familiar with its weaknesses. Best reps. Ive seen are from the shortliners. Seems as though they fighting for their life so it becomes their passion.

We are, guys, and we are looking forward to seeing you in Hesston. Should be a good show. As for the topic of product knowledge, I can only say that I would have liked to have talked to Hyper Harvest. Show was manned by many different sales, credit people, and even dealers who may not sell combines in their area. Not trying to make excuses, and I apologize for not really getting to talk with you in louisville. love to talk combines and I do know what the Hyper mods are and appreciate what you guys do for Gleaner customers far and wide. You are to be commended. Understand you were there, but didn't get to talk with you. louisville was well attended, and I really enjoyed talking with our customers and new customers who need a Gleaner, because I am proud to no end of our Gleaner and MF combines, and waste no opportunity to compare them to the competition. And I like to think I know a bit about those other glorified coffee grinders out there. There's no better way to truly appreciate the design and overall quality of our AGCO combines. In case you're wondering, the nickname reflects my fondness and commitment to the other AGCO products. See you in Hesston!! P.S. As for the show girls, (Gleanerettes perhapsIJIJIJ) sounds like a good idea. Yours truly, I lOVE SIlVER
