Combines Gorden Concaves

We installed a complete set of concaves this harvest following purchase of rotor bars and airjet chafer last year. This setup has revolutionised our combine performance. Airjet chafer eliminates returns and thus makes seperation in rotor much more efficient resulting in greater forward speed without rotor losses. Helical concaves were fitted to avoid leaf material clogging wires in conventional concaves in our damp Scottish conditions. Dont know if conventional chafer would cope with increased MOG as a result of there being no wires, but we are very pleased with our setup.

I have run the Gorden Helical Concaves for two seasons now, also Gorden Bars and Air Jet Chaffer. This is a super setup no rotor loss in corn, clean grain also works very good in soybeans and wheat with cover plates on concaves

We are only combining small grains and peas. I can see how there may be problems with stems lodged in the chaffer in stiffer stemmed crops like canola and corn.
