No really,that the name of the thing. The decal has the picture of a red rooster and the words"Red Rooster diesel economizer". They were sold by Acme carburation in Mankato Minn.
They still make the Red Rooster!!!. The new ones are listed as using a microprocessor to control the propane flow to new electronic diesels. Back in my day it was a simple solenoid valve,a small engine 2 stage regulator and an adjustible venturi nozzle you welded into the air intake pipe. That's an interesting link. I just figured that it fit the red combine so well too, that maybe it was someting you came up with as a name. And then to be from "acme" to boot. But that is a great idea. Putting that on a combine so you have if you need it.
