One tip would be to forget everything you know about conventional combines. Case service rep once told me the biggest problem they had was guys trying to set the AF combines like cylinder machines. Find a good CIH combine tech or experienced neighbor and pay attention.

Corn is growing well here in east central Iowa. Probably close to shoulder high at the highest. Beans are coming along slowly. All the floods really slowed everything down, planting and spraying. Just hope that isn't the last of the rain for the season. Congrats on the new combine, it'll treat you well. like the others said, forget everything about the conventional. I know there are publications out that help on adjusting the combine for different preferences, talk to your dealer and I'm sure they will have something.
