OP, Are you going to harvest any other cropsIJ I know you will find the sample to be nice and clean as long as you are able to thresh the crop out of the stems_stalks_straw. I have been using this type of system for a few years and like it for small grains, beans, corn. Just do one thing when you take them out or change them with another set.....place them away from the back wheels so you don't drive over them.....JK

:-( ya those rear tires'll do it every time wont they. I plan to use the chaffer for a small amount of red clover too. Other than that, we dont have anything else. We just do grass seed and clover any more. Allthough, i do think its going to bite us one of these days if we dont start getting another rotation into the system. i'm currently running the helical concaves and a full set of Gorden bars. i really like what that combo did last year. I could'nt believe how much it gained us, so that's a lot of the reason I did the research on the chaffer. If it does as much or more for our capacity and sample, I'll be very happy. Thanks for taking the time to reply with the good results. That allways makes a guy happy to hear someone else is doing well with the product.

Keep us posted, I'd sure like to know if it's better than a peterson style chaffer.

Keep me posted on this. I have been thinking about these air jet chaffers for a while for our 2188s in grass seed. I just wasn't sure how they would work n grass.

I plan to post the results that I find. But please remember that my results may still be incomplete, and try not to take what I find as the end result. In other words, if I happen to not get the favorable results I'm looking for, it may not be the chaffer, it may just be my lack of knowledge. What grass do you grow and what area are you inIJ I'm just west of Portland Oregon.

We are going into the third season with the air jet chaffer here in southwestern Indiana...corn, soybeans, and wheat, all three chaffer types, two are available for corn and I think we got the larger hole section - whatever Brent and Marvin recommended. no more corn out the back on hill sides and a much better sample in the tank...changing to hellical concaves this fall.
