Combines Got my new Massey literature yesterday

To answer a few of your questions. It has a cummins engine. (don't remember the hp quotes currently) Both boast a 300 bushel grain tank and the Class VII machine weighs just over 30,000 lbs and the Class VI weighs in just over 26,000 lbs. I would imagine to easily move to class VIII machine all they would have to do is either stretch the length and make the rotor longer or go wider and do the same with the circumference of the rotor. HP increase can be achieved with chips for the puter these days and bigger tires along with heavier finals would easily handle more tinwork to increase the bin size. 1 thing that I do like about that massey that would make me have it over a gleaner.........and I know the gleaner guys like thiers the way they are......and it's probably a very minimal argument.........but I like a turret auger like that massey has. I'm so scared if I'd fall in a badger hole with that gleaner while unloading on the go I could smack the side of a tall grain cart pretty darn easy. like I said, very possibly a small point to argue but it's little thigns like that, that make each person prefer one machine over another sometimes.

If they want to sell that $n@$%n@%@ combine then they can do the work by putting it in a brochure! Go get it on my own..........I don't have time to drive all over watching it in action and interviewing people.........Do youIJ That's what the brochure is for, to tell me what I need to know to get me interested and then if I'm fairly convinced then get the dealer to setup a testrun and talk to other people. If I sound grouchy it's because that post made me grouchy. Go get it on my own.............Pfffftttt. I did when I sent in that reply card.

You can get a turrent on a Gleaner if you want. Has been an option for 3 or 4 years.

The engine in the 9690 is an 8.3l Cummins QSC electronic engine. 285 rated hp with 305hp boost. The 9790 uses a QSl Cummins 8.9l electronic engine rated at 330hp with a boost of 350 hp. Both machines have a 300 bushel tank. The shoe on the 9690 is 6768 sq. in. and on the 9790 is 8296 sq. in. Both machines use the same size rotor and concaves_grates, as there is ample capacity with that big rotor. The rotor is 27.5" in diameter and 140" in length. The concave area is 2205 sq. in. and the separator grates have an area of 2241 sq. in. Unladen weights are approx. 30,000 lbs for the 9790 and 26,000 lbs for the 9690. Moving up to a class 8 may or may not require moving up to a larger rotor size. Remember the 8590 based on the White 9720_9700 models had a larger and longer rotor, which maybe will be resurrected for a class 8 application.

On an R seriesIJ I know you can on a C but I didn't know you could on an R.

One again the head is red, originally it was like the gleaner. Its was yes premature, but now it is red as it should be. Im sure more complete literature is soon to come, be patient guys they are learning and the input is good, they need to know what you want.
