Combines Grain Coming in Cleaning Fan on 760

My best guess would be that for some reason the corn is not being taken to the grain tank fast enough. Do you have a problem with your clean grain elevatorIJ Maybe the drive belt needs to be tightened, maybe the elevator slats are worn out. This would be the area I would look at first. I used to have a 510 with a six row head and had problems with corn in the fan because the clean grain elevator would not take the corn fast away fast enough. Hope these ideas might help. let me know what you find.

Do you have the gauze or mesh screen (or maybe there is a round hole one)section in infront of the second seiveIJ If we run that in lupins (similar size grain to corn) the material coming down thru the forward part of the top seive accumulates on that mesh screen and then piles forward into the fan casing, we run with that screen in for wheat and barley to get a nice clean sample but it must come out for the lupins as they wont pass easily thru it. Check it out! Cheers Greyhawk

Just read your post, so you're probably done by now. Here goes, anyway. We've had this problem before, and found that the flighting on the clean grain cross auger was worn out. like one of the other posts said, the grain isn't elevated fast enough, but it may be because the flighting isn't getting it there. The worn auger cuts the capacity of the leg and the grain has nowhere else to go. Also, any build-up in the tube between the side of the machine and the bottom of the clean grain leg will cause your capacity to go down. Good luck!

I have the same problem with field peas only. My augers and paddles are new.
