same way, you just have to hook up the hose to the varible speed feeder house,bump your backshaft speed to no more than 530 or 540, unhook hose(may require a hammer to un couple ) and hook back up to header. or you can try to adjust your drive belt on feeder house. make it a little tighter. just try not to go over 540 rpms under load. may raise hell w_ wobble box if ya get much higher. it works for me,be it right or wrong I don't know. mit9750

You want to run the grain head slow. If you speed it up, you will wreck the sickle or the sickle drive. I believe your operators manual tells you to slow trhe feeder house down as far as possible before attaching the header.
