Can you get draper headers over there, such as MacDon or HoneyBeeIJ These belts instead of augers and are used in small grains and rice on this side of the pond. In fact, CNH sells the McDon as a CaseIH 1052.

These are what I meant. CNH has put Droninberg header (They build AGCO combines in Europe)till now. They are starting to fit NH header now, but when I tried it as soon as you went over 3.5mph it started to feed over the top of the header auger. I will ask why they dont fit Macdon here.

I'll tell you one thing Jimmy that drapper will feed any crop green or dry, light or heavy into your caseIH combine at any speed as long as the knife keeps up now what that combine dose with it is another story!!!!!! PS. should have told you sugar cane would be toughIJIJIJIJIJIJIJIJget a drapper they have adaptors to fit any machine!!!!! one suggestion take drapper belts off and store in an old deep freezer so mice don't have a feast over winter!!!!

My experience of the american headers in Ireland would be that they get it very hard to handle the amount of straw we have to cut. This is why they started using the 1030 headers here with the 1600 series. These were far superior to the 810 and 825 headers used up till then.
