Grain in the cleanning fan is usually a sign of returning too much and overloading the shoe on one side grain builds up and falls into the fan. 6600 was especially bad about this.
It can be caused by the metal wearing through near the rear of the front shoe auger grain pan. I am in the process of changing this pan on my 7700 now for this reason.
