Combines grain in tailings

grain in the tailings comes from what did get through the chaffer and not the seive. Reasons are too high a top screen - chaffer- setting especially if you have the rear teeth set higher than the front - or the lower seive set too tight. Too much air in combo with too close a seive setting will cause this. A hole in the bin bottom, sections of the chaffer and screen missing and splitter being off or breaks in the fan duct can cause this.

the fan has two outlets, one under the walkers and one under the shaker shoe, the air blast is cut in two by a piece of metal called a splitter. IF if gets torn or damaged it will reak havok with the separation system as the air will not go where it is supposed to.. There should be a line up hole and also a diagram in most op mans and or service mans

For wheat I set the cylinder at 1_4", fan on 4, chaffer at 3_4", sieve at 3_8" (or use a soybean screen) and cylinder speed of 1200 rpm. It sounds like you do not have the sieve open enough.
