Combines Grain leg

m-farm, The biggest expense in a leg is the accessories; turn head (nof holes),lagged pulleys, spouting, cushion boxes work platforms, ladder_safety caging, painted or galvanized. Also erection and freight. With used you buy what you can get. With new you get what you need capacity wise. Good luck!

MAGNUM, I was once curious about the air systems, but am skeptical on them due to their capacity limitations. I have not researched them to a great extent due to the fact that most people put up legs. I was assuming that they did not work well on a large capacity scale. Which system do you haveIJ CapacityIJ Also, we need to be able to service several bins and a harvestore, so a horizontal distance of 400' and up to 60' vertical distance of travel is needed on the system. My concern is the air systems can not achieve these distances with 24% corn. The major advantage of the leg we are looking at is the ability to have a large pit, so that you can dump 1,000 bu. in a matter of seconds and drive away. How could you incorporate the air system to be able to utilize that advantageIJ We do not have a single batch_continous dryer; all our bins have individual dryers, so whatever system is used, would have to handle wet corn well. Thanks for your ideas.

Go to the GSI web site and look at their loop system. I recently installed one and am very pleased with it. I would give it a serious look if your bin layout allows.
