Catalonia was an independent country in the medieval age. our language come from the roman latin. Some parts of the south of france where part of catalonia in the past (catalan is still speak there) but the spanish king sell to france in 18 th century to pay some wars. Catalan is also spoken in a italian city called l'Alguer, Valencia and Mallorca. I live in a region called lleida, sure you can locate it in a map. Sebas
