Combines grain tank rusting through

Both red combines that I have operated have worn out under the cross augers in the grain bin from grain volume. A very simple fix is to purchase 1_8" or 3_16" thick sheet plastic from a company like MayWes and line your auger bed with it. A 2" or 3" angle iron will make the seam on top of the plastic sheets between the two augers. Flat iron will hold down the other edges. Drill your holes for either bolts or heavy duty screws through the iron_plastic_hopper metal taking care where you drill. One repair we glued down and the other we didn't. This will last a very long time.

I've had a good steel fabricator line these with thin steel. He formed it and welded it in.
