Most often operators set the lower sieve too tight trying to clean green material out of the grain. That setting causes heavy returns. Heavy returns result in excessive cracking and increased rotor loss. Consider using the AirJet chaffer. The reports coming in show excellent results in milo. Here is a milo sample cut with Gorden Bars and cleaned with the Gorden AirJet Chaffer. There was negligible cracking of grain.
