Heat would be byproduct of poor connection near fuse block. If a fuse is making poor connection the heat can transfer to metal strip that feeds power to more than one fuse. If the connection problem is on fuse itself it could blow fuse even though it is not a short somewhere (that is not allways true if a large fuse has the poor connection). I'd suspect the next highest currant draw to the cab fan you have reroughed. That would be seperator clutch fuse. I'd take digital voltmeter and check voltage at all connectors that hold fuses in place while you have everything running. You find will find lower voltage on one or the other side of fuse if that is your problem. On back side of fuse holder you will see the main currant feeds that come from cab solinoid. One of these crimped joints may be the problem. A little heat is fine but not so much it melts plastic or insulation on wires. Good luck
