We stop and help each other-color doesn't matter-smiles come as we shake hands on departure. Everyone has their day- both the sun and rain will fall upon all of us. Good cutting-safety-and high yeilds to you.

A good bit of friendly banter and competition helps the job along, small breakdowns happening to someone else can be funny. But I never laugh at ones costing thousands as they could happen to me!!!!

You must have never run a early model IH 1480 in tough soybeans. No feeder reverser and the old standard rotor. Talk about digging stuff out, I can't believe I still have all my fingers after running that thing......ya, brings back the good old memories.

yep..the big $$$$ thing has happened to me too!! when i ran the green machines. shucks i have a 1440 and a 1460, no reverser, don't use the auto head, so far...knock on wood (my head) i've never plugged my IH combine yet. started with a 403, did plug that but only in wheat. went to a 4400, that thing plugged up all the time in anything. sometimes i thought it plugged itself while sitting in the shed!! then went to 6620 jd, that plugged up alot too. then went to gleaners, they only plugged on the straw walkers. now using IH rotaries..wow! what a difference! yeah! guess i don't get in a big hurry now. would rather be combining than unplugging the machine!
