Combines hanger bushings replacement

A press would be of great help. Your CaseIH dealer has some drivers which would help but some large sockets will do the trick. Be sure and get in center stroke when putting back together. Not a real big job but it will take a while. P.S. Check both brackets (whatever their called) that bolt to the side of the combine, the right one is behind the clean grain auger, they tend to crack around the bushing.

If I understand correctly,these bushings are the rubber in between the fastning pivot bolts and the arms on the shoe,all located outside of the combine,so there would be 15-20 bushings to replace,is there one or two that are most likly to wear out,or the first to goIJI just ran out and looked at mine,they are all cracked,but all seem to be intack.tia

I really don't know which one will wear out first but with that many hours I'd say they will all need replacing. It would take just one to go out to cause alot of repairs later!

Case IH sells them in a kit, Get the whole kit, should have all the busings. Mark with tape or something which goes on left or right side of machine. I would replace them all. Use a press!!! and I would invest in the bushing tool kit Part No. B96214. I had my own bushing tool kit made a local maching shop for about $25. Center the shakers back up before tightening the bolts. I just reached in and grapped hold of the beater.
