G'day, have a '94 R-62 that jams if you start to turn the wheel to fast. I found that if I start the turn slowly, perhaps for about 1_8th of a turn on the steering wheel there are no problems. There are valves in the system to prevent damage being done (I suspect rear axle breakages!)if you move things to fast even during a turn. Hope this helps, regards ssilver aussie.

We had the same thing on a '94 R-72. We put a steering valve update kit on it and it has steered great ever since. I can ask my dealer for the part number if your interested. I'm sure Dan or tbran know the part number too. Note, you can tell if the kit has been installed by looking at the valve stack. If the kit has been installed there will be one valve about 5-6 inches on top of the existing stack and it lays horizontal rather than vertical. All the new machines come this way. Good luck, Brian
