I don't know if those work the same as the new ones,but on the new ones there are 3 sensors one on each end of the head and one under the cab,you could have a bad sensor.You use an ohm meter to check ,rotate the sensor and if bad a flat spot will show on the meter.

used to work for deere dealership and they would do the same thing if they had a sensor bad. check ohms and you should find you problem.

It was the easyest fix ever. There is a small spring on the headland switch under cab, and the spring came off on one end. Simple fix. Thanks for the posts.
