Tried to do corn today, but the snow is too close to the cobs. Really sucks when ya jump off the ladder and go to your knees in snow. Maybe this warm weather will reduce the snow depth enough to try again in a couple of days.

IlG, Our trouble down here in Texas has been too much rain. In Cooke county only about 20% of the average wheat planted got drilled this year. We started sowing on October 16 and that was the only day we were able to get in the field since. I hope the maize works out. BTW I am trying to buy a planter. How much is a 6 row 30" 3 point JD 7100 worth. it has maize cups and finger pickup for corn. It is setup to but out both liquid fertilizer and chemical. I appreciate any and all help ,because just like Schultz " I know nothing!!!!" thanks, WW

We are in north central North Dakota. The corn seems to be standing pretty well. Most of the stalks are broke over just above the cob however. The moisture is 23 but the elevator has been taking in corn anywhere from 19 to 21. Guess we're special. The insurance adjuster said we have over 100 bu_acre out there so we have to try to get it sometime.
