On the Gleaner MH they used a level sender in the cab behind the seat electrically engaging hydraulic vales for tilt (two speeds) I did not ever see a 1470 to know how they worked. What did you us on yours for machine tiltIJ I like the two hydraulic cylinders in series ideal, where able to adjust it form cab for washes or uneven places. Good at FFA convergences. Dee

I did not get a flex head the rigid worked ok for now. I had 200 acers of beans under two pivots everything was great untill the well caved in and the sand took out the pump.I cut a few beans in the draws but it was a total loss.I had 150 acers to custom cut and they went 50 bu average they were irrigated with hand lines. The dry land in the foot hills was in the 20 to 30 bu and they did not get any rain from 6 14 06 to 9 10 06.There is alot to learn about irrigation and varity as to what works out here.

I used a mercury board for auto leveling and the header and combine could be manualy ajusted, electric over hydraulic from the cab.

50bpa with a rigid head, that is pretty good. I don't know how low your pods were set, but I have to practically shave to get everything in that grew. Maybe the ground was pretty flatIJ Using a flex table with header control, and if the head is 20' or wider a lateral tilt, makes life much easier. gs
