Chopper, having run both I think they will both do a good job if they are set correctly. I think the operators manuals for most combines have a wealth of information reguarding field loss. I do feel the newer headers (any brand) are better. I went from an 1987 Gleaner flex to a 1996 1020 and am very pleased. The new JD headers impress me even more!
