I counted 32, so did a friend I sent them too, he figured they were 22.5' heads(or at least no 30's) and I forget what he figured but half a section in one round maybe, if the rows are "only" a mile longIJ It was a lot but hard to tell for sure.

So how come they don't use bigger headersIJ The planters aren't very big either! I've seen bigger planters and combines in Nebraska! Is it rocky soils or inexperienced operatorsIJ What are they planting, and where is the seed tender trucksIJIJ That has to be one monster to manage! How do you keep everyone on the same pageIJ With all the combines, tractors, and trucks-where is the fuel tanker, and who's bringing lunch outIJ!IJ Must be really cheap labor too.

Interesting pictures, but I can hardly find anything to smile about. It puts a face on the reason commodity prices are in the tank. I do not object to other countries producing crops like we are, but I hate to see pictures and hear stories about the D8 cats running none stop down there. Seen one picture of 2 D8 cats dragging a chain wiping out a forest to make way for farmland (High Plains Journal). I find it hard to believe we will ever see bean prices up around the six dollar amount ever again with that kind of production. I also hear it rains almost everyday down there during the growing season. none the less they are interesting but please remember that they are photos of the grim reaper coming to knock on our doors. About the only solution to this problem is to push our government to use more ethanol and biodiesel and greatly reduce our dependence on foreign oil. We have the solution to alot of our nations problems stored in our grain bins right here, but our government is to blind to this and has their hands tied to big oil. Its a shame we cant use our cheap grain to solve some of the problems we face as a country. I am not criticizing you for posting the pictures. They are good photos. They just seem to chap my hide alittle. thank you for your time and I will get down from the soap box now.
