s. dakota- We are 75% done with beans-had 2 good weeks of harvesting but now we have been shut down-today is the 5th day and looks like it won't go today. 20-25 bu. beans
North Central Iowa - We've only gotten 100 acres of beans out so far. Seems like every time we get going good, it rains for 3 days. Just got another inch last night and more forcasted for the next 2 days. The stems were pretty green when we started but then we got a light frost and they've gotten better. They were testing 14% when we stared a week and a half ago but some we took out yesterday morning (before more rain) tested at 10.3%. Yields have been alright, one field went 55 bu_acre and one went 52 bu_acre. The last one would have gone 60 but had a big wet spot that was probably only 20 b_a. They're ready to come out if Mother Nature would just cooperate for a week.
i'm in central ontario just started beans they are very ripe and a bit wet i'll be counting on an air floor and bin fan to help me out we are getting the best yield in many years and these are our first certified organic beans so we are excited for sure......... looks like 18_bushel cdn -Mark in canada
southern west ontario..- Have finished our own soybeans they went 33bu_ac just way too dry here. Just an hour north of me a relative of mine has been averaging 58 bu_ac and the best field went 69 ( NK SW-04) on marginal ground they got all the right rains this year. Started corn yesterday yielding 82 bu_ac on the sand at 20.8%
Eastern S. Dakota--All the crop is off around here, except for the guys that want to keep an excuse to get away from the family on Thanksgiving Day (go combining). Very dry here.
south central minnesota most people have had there beans out for a a good two weeks already. and alot of farmers only have 100 to 200 hundred acres left of corn. mostly people wasting time and taking there time
Harvest come to halt in Saskatchewan a few weeks back. last report was that at least 5,000,000 acres are going to winter over. Know one farmer that has 8,000 acres to go ,out of 30,000. Going to be an intresting spring, trying to harvest whats left, and seed at the same time.
