North Central Iowa - We've only gotten 100 acres of beans out so far. Seems like every time we get going good, it rains for 3 days. Just got another inch last night and more forcasted for the next 2 days. The stems were pretty green when we started but then we got a light frost and they've gotten better. They were testing 14% when we stared a week and a half ago but some we took out yesterday morning (before more rain) tested at 10.3%. Yields have been alright, one field went 55 bu_acre and one went 52 bu_acre. The last one would have gone 60 but had a big wet spot that was probably only 20 b_a. They're ready to come out if Mother Nature would just cooperate for a week.

Dito for West Central Wisconsin. Just started corn yesterday. This could get ugly before we're done.

Eastern S. Dakota--All the crop is off around here, except for the guys that want to keep an excuse to get away from the family on Thanksgiving Day (go combining). Very dry here.

Central and Western Kansas: Most beans and corn were done three weeks ago. Milo is just getting started. It took a freeze to kill it.

Harvest come to halt in Saskatchewan a few weeks back. last report was that at least 5,000,000 acres are going to winter over. Know one farmer that has 8,000 acres to go ,out of 30,000. Going to be an intresting spring, trying to harvest whats left, and seed at the same time.
