We have used sunflower tray's to do corn and have done all right, as you will probably know that the dryland crops dont all ways get planted in 30 inch rows, or what ever the corn fronts are, we use corn fronts in the irrigated crops..... BOSS 351
have a couple of neighbors who tried using flexheads on down corn this past season. after 10 acres the heads were pretty well tore up. the retractable fingers were first to go. ears get jammed under them and they snap off. reels took damage too. if it is all you have i guess you will have to give her a go. personally i would look for corn head or find a beat up grain head to start with.
