The JD row head running with auto header height control is the best way to go. However, if you want to use Heston Headhunters, we have 7 units that we would sell cheap. They came from a farm auction many years ago and have never been mounted since....look almost like new. Always shedded, my guess is they ran a few hundred acres max. They will mount on a rigid head and turn it into a row head. Hume reels with plastic teeth just get torn up because of the heavy stalks. The metal tooth reels do better, but you really need something that pulls the stalk in and rights the head, which is what the row head does.
