Although I no longer have a green combine (I opted for CaseIH his time),I have to say that I seldom had any problems getting a clean sample with my Deeres, and I combine everything from high-moisture corn to trefoil seed. As far as drawing any similarity between an STS and an Axial-flow, forget it; - they are TWO TOTAllY DIFFERENT combines.

just fyi..deere has had a self-leveling thresher option since I think 1976. Stopped for four years then have not quit since and is available today. Costs about 30 grand extra too.

You guys sound like a bunch of kids, bosting about what color is better. You Deere guys are so hung up on Green that your panties are even got Deere on them. Theres obviously Pros nad Cons about every machine.

It really bothers me to hear people talk up their machines when all they did was write a check and have it delivered to their doorstep. They had nothing to do with designing or building it. If they bolted on parts to try to enhance the machine's performance they still don't have a right to brag because they probably purchased parts designed and built by someone else.

Have you ever seen a NH at the farm progress show next to a DeereIJ Enough said. likewise, climb up top and see the difference in grain quality, go behind and see the difference in grain loss and so on, NH may make a decent combine but it's no John Deere by any means.

When they say self-leveling sieve, I'm pretty sure it's not regarding a hill-side combine
